ACLS and BLS

One of the joys of being an active anesthesiologist is maintaining cardiac resuscitation proficiency. I have been studying for about a month. I was in the hospital just before my original retake date. I was too tired to proceed at that time and my new 8AM-5PM class followed a 24 hour call. God was merciful. Every two years for the rest of my active career, I get to spend a weekend with kids 30 years younger than me telling me about the new American Heart recommendations. I was the only student with grey hair out of about fifty. If I am lucky, than I will not have to use the material until next exam. A few years ago, an instructor could not find a baby sitter. As I am being grilled by the mother, her five year old is going over the material with me on a Megacode. The little girl had obviously been through the class dozens of times. She kept giving me the answers and she was always right. I am happy to be off to work with clean credentials.
